Leaving Beijing this time feels nothing like the last.
During Thanksgiving break in 2016, my roommate and I went to New York. We wandered through museums, watched Broadway shows, and caught a glimpse of the life I had always longed for. Somewhere in the haze of those days, I found the outline of a goal.
Tomorrow I'll return to Shenzhen for one last journey back to my roots.
After that, I want to believe that what will remain of me is a clear mind, a sense of purpose, and whatever future I can make with them.
Diary December 2016
这次离开北京与上次心情很不相仿。一六年感恩节假期和室友去了纽约，看了很多博物馆和百老汇的演出，看到了自己向往的生活，迷迷糊糊地有了一个目标。
明天回深圳是最后的寻根，以后我身上只剩下理智的头脑，激情和未来。
