Let Her Grow

“A series of paper sculptures that I showcased at RCA’s grad show in 2023. I started the building process in my apartment, transferred the early-stage growing plant to the exhibition space, and built bit by bit from there.

Through the process, I see, sense, and think many things. I tried to explore the boundaries of artificial creations and an organic timeline. I was a bystander, I also watched her slowly decay.

I drew inspiration for this piece from various religious teachings, trying to piece together and create a world for my childish ego in a caring and poetic way.

The series “Let Her Grow” was created and assembled mostly in the exhibition hall. It breathes in its package box caskets now at its own speed, just like it breathed before, in a way.
