Let Her Grow
A paper sculpture project made for my master's degree in printmaking.
The project began to grow in my apartment; then, it was transferred to the exhibition space and grew bit by bit from there.
I, as the artist, was the medium between an assumed natural process of growth and its physical manifestation. I tried to breathe with “her”, as she exists between boundaries of artificial creations and an organic timeline.
I was both the maker and the bystander in “her” situation. As I grow and exist with her in parallel, I witness “her“ life cycle of birth and silence in the finality.
