About 刘孟琦 (Mengqi Liu)

我喜欢讲故事，尤其喜欢那些短小精炼或矛盾激烈的故事，以及未曾出口或未能登场的故事。在我的作品中，我含蓄地讲述它们，在完整叙事的同时包容故事本身的隐私性和羞耻感。

在我所描绘的世界里，主角总隐藏着。他们随着世界的色彩而流动，沿着世界的脉络以心跳。有时他们被完全掩盖，在重复的笔画中丧失原本的形状。

虽然主角们总藏身于色彩、线条或自造的符号语言之中，画中的世界却映射着他们内心信念，随心绪与意识的转变，瞬息流动。

我希望这些作品中的世界可以在自己的时空中呼吸，真诚地见证着那些旅程和觉悟。

I tell stories that live between languages, gestures, and silences;

moments where meaning bends, blurs, or hides.
I trace what is lost in translation and what remains unsaid.
